About This Workshop
What to Expect
- Join me for a relaxed 4-hour Wire Christmas Tree Workshop, where you’ll learn the basics of creating your own beautiful freestanding wire tree from scratch.
- We’ll begin by choosing from a selection of beads in different shades of green to create the foliage for your Christmas tree. I’ll then guide you step by step through preparing, twisting and forming the wire, creating the individual branches and adding your beads before bringing everything together to form the trunk, branches and roots.
- You’ll learn how to shape and balance your finished tree before securely mounting it onto a natural wooden plinth, ready to take home and display as part of your Christmas decorations.
- The workshop is completely beginner friendly, so no previous wire-working experience is needed. All tools and materials are provided. Just bring yourself, a little patience, and prepare to discover just how much twisting can go into one small tree. 🎄✨
What to Bring
Everything you need to create your Wire Christmas Tree is included in the workshop. We’ll be working with bare copper wire, using different gauges to form the branches, trunk and roots of your tree. You’ll also have a selection of beautiful beads in varying shades of green to choose from to create the foliage, along with a natural wooden plinth on which to mount your finished tree. All wire, beads, wooden plinths and tools are supplied, so there’s nothing you need to bring with you. Simply choose your greens and prepare to turn a rather alarming pile of copper wire into something wonderfully Christmassy. 🎄✨

Please arrive a few minutes early so we can settle you in with a drink before we start. The studio is at the Birstall address shown below.

Free on-street parking is usually available on Sycamore Road and nearby side streets. Please leave space for neighbours’ driveways.
♿ Accessibility Information Our workshop is located at the top of the garden in a purpose-built larch workshop, accessed via the house and garden. There are two steps into the workshop. The toilet facilities are inside the house and are accessed via a flight of stairs. There is on-street parking available, and if you have accessibility or mobility requirements, please let me know when booking. Where possible, I can clear the driveway so you can park closer to the house and workshop, making your visit as easy and comfortable as possible. If you have any specific accessibility needs or concerns, please get in touch before your workshop and I’ll be happy to discuss how I can accommodate you.
