Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use the Tangled Wire Creations website or buy from us. They are between you and Hilary Harris, trading as Tangled Wire Creations.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Delivery & Returns policy. If those pages say something more specific about delivery, returns or workshops, they take priority over a general sentence here.
About these terms
By placing an order or creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are browsing only, please still use the site lawfully and respectfully.
These terms are written for customers in the United Kingdom. If you order from elsewhere, you are responsible for any import charges, and delivery options at checkout will tell you whether we can ship to you.
The website
We try to keep product photos, descriptions and prices accurate. Each piece is handmade, so small variations are part of the work. One-of-a-kind items can sell quickly; if something is no longer available we will not take payment for it, or we will refund you.
We may update or pause the site for maintenance. We are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to — including Bookwhen, social media, and payment pages operated by Stripe. We use Plausible for cookieless visit statistics as described in the Privacy Policy.
Accounts
You must be 18 or over to create an account. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You can ask us to close the account by emailing hilary@tangledwirecreations.co.uk.
Orders and prices
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery costs and estimated times are shown at checkout before you pay. A contract is formed when we accept your order and take payment — you will get an email confirmation.
We may refuse or cancel an order if an item is out of stock, a price is obviously wrong, or we cannot verify the payment. If we have already taken payment we will refund it.
Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We may also offer wallets that Stripe supports, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, when they appear at checkout. We never see your full card number.
Gift vouchers
The £45 gift voucher is a one-use WooCommerce coupon, valid for 12 months from purchase. After payment we email the code to the billing email on the order. Enter it at checkout on this website.
Gift voucher codes cannot be used on Bookwhen. They are for this shop only. They cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it.
Workshops
Until October, workshop dates are booked on Bookwhen (bookwhen.com/tangledwirecreations). A Bookwhen booking is with Bookwhen under their terms as well as ours. From October, new dates will be sold on this site.
If you cannot attend, contact Hilary as early as you can. Cancellation and transfer options are explained in Delivery & Returns. If we cancel a session we will offer another date or a refund of the workshop price paid.
Memberships
Silver Thread and Golden Thread are monthly Stripe subscriptions that include workshop credits. You can manage or cancel a membership from your account (or the Stripe customer portal we provide). Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not usually refund the current period unless we agree otherwise or the law requires it.
Commissions
Commissioned and personalised pieces are made to your specification. Timescales and price are agreed before work begins. Because they are made for you, you cannot usually return them just because you have changed your mind. Your legal rights still apply if a piece is faulty or not as described.
Intellectual property
Photographs, drawings, product designs and the content of this website belong to Hilary Harris / Tangled Wire Creations unless we say otherwise. You may not copy the site or list our photos as your own. If you believe something here infringes your rights, email hilary@tangledwirecreations.co.uk.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- misuse the site, attempt to break into it, or overload it;
- scrape or harvest content for commercial use without permission;
- place orders using false details or a payment method you do not have the right to use;
- use the site in a way that is unlawful or harmful to others.
We may suspend access or an account if these terms are broken.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose) or your right to cancel a distance contract where that right applies. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you ordered, or for business losses. For any single order our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there is a dispute, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If we update these terms we will change this page and the review date.
