Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and similar storage used on tangledwirecreations.co.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
This storefront does not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels. The cookies we set are only those needed to run the shop — signing in and taking payment — so we do not show a cookie banner. Visit counts use Plausible, which does not set cookies (see Analytics below). If we add optional tracking cookies later, we will update this page and ask first.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Some last only while the tab is open; others stay until they expire or you delete them. Similar tools (local storage) can also keep a small amount of information on your device.
Cookie notice
We do not currently show a cookie banner. UK PECR does not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to run the shop, and we do not set optional tracking cookies. If we add something like Google Analytics later, we will show a genuine accept or reject choice and keep those scripts off until you accept.

These are strictly necessary for the features you asked for (an account or a payment). They are not used to advertise to you on other websites.
Analytics
We use Plausible, an EU analytics service, to count visits. It does not set a cookie on your device, so there is no extra “accept analytics” choice.
Plausible records the page address, the referring site, browser or device type, and an approximate country. It does not record your name, email or a lasting identifier, and it does not use the data to advertise to you. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
The script loads only on tangledwirecreations.co.uk (and www). It does not load on the preview site. If you do not want the request to be made, you can block plausible.io in your browser or with a content blocker.
Other storage
Your basket is stored in the browser as twc_basket_v1 (local storage), not as a cookie. It stays on your device until you clear site data or empty the basket. A short-lived session storage flag is used after payment so the checkout page does not try to charge you twice.
Other websites
Links to Bookwhen, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok or other sites are ordinary links. Those services may set their own cookies once you leave this website. Embedded Stripe payment fields on checkout are provided by Stripe.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies you may not be able to stay signed in or complete a payment. Clearing site data will also empty the basket stored on this device. Blocking cookies does not stop Plausible, because it does not use a cookie — see Analytics above if you want to block that script.
